The five-month-old Norwegian Bliss has relocated to its permanent home in the Port of Los Angeles. At a whopping 168,000 tons, Bliss is Norwegian’s largest ship ever and has a capacity of 4,004 passengers. This new mega series of ships is called the Breakaway Plus and currently offers three ships. The first voyages will cover seven and eight-night trips in the Mexican Riviera, which will be offered until the end of November. Following that schedule will be exclusive two-week voyages from Los Angeles through the Panama Canal to Miami. And each of these trips will offer passengers ample time to enjoy all of the latest amenities the Bliss has to offer.
A Floating Resort
The Bliss is not only a mega ship but it is also a full floating resort with more activities than ever before offered in North America. One of the most unique features of this floating amusement park is a two-deck-high race course. Passengers can compete against each other in electric go-carts while enjoying the amazing views that this huge ship has to offer. And after a few laps in the carts, the waterpark is sure to be a big attraction. Again, size matters as the waterpark offers multi-level slides for added fun and excitement. And a snack on the boardwalk is a great way to wrap up the afternoon outdoors.
Indoor Fun and Features
Bliss offers guests the opportunity to take in a Tony Award-winning show as well as the beautiful vistas outdoors. And nothing could be better than a relaxing trip to the enormous spa before the show. And the dining options are far from limited. There is even an authentic Texas Barbecue onboard called Q. And great food is not all that you will experience at Q. There will be live pop country music for your entertainment as you enjoy ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken Texas BBQ style.
Los Angeles has always been a popular port on the west coast, but now that it is home to the largest cruise ship in America, its draw will be even greater. A few months of short, week-long trips will ensure that every feature and aspect of this huge ship is functioning perfectly before guests embark on the amazing two week trip from Los Angeles to Miami via the Panama Canal. Don’t miss out on this great new adventure. Book early for the best selection of cabins and activities.
