While 2019 has only recently ended, we won’t fault you if you’re already looking to take a themed cruise in the new year. They’re some of the most exciting cruises out there, offering unique experiences and activities that normal trips won’t give you. While there are certainly still a few unannounced themed cruises that are left in the year, there’s plenty out there just begging for you to book them right now. We can hear it now… “book me, book me…” Well, let’s answer their calls and take a look!
Flower Power Cruise
Celebrating the bygone era of peace and love, the Flower Power Cruise has a line-up of classic artists for those who yearn for the hippie era. Among them are the Hollies, The Zombies and Arlo Guthrie. Those three alone would make for an impressive cruise, but plenty more artists round out the rest of it, including cover bands of groups like the Doors. It lasts seven days and your ticket includes 50 live shows, 25 celebrity events and dining. The whole thing takes place on the Celebrity Infinity, which boast a lounge, martini bar and some specialty restaurants. Dust off your bell-bottoms and check out the rest of the details over here.
Keeping the Blues Alive VI
Lasting from February 18 to February 22, the Norwegian Cruise Line celebrates the sixth iteration of its Keeping the Blues alive cruise. Just like the previous cruise, there’s a huge line-up of artists with non-stop performances, though this time we’re celebrating blues and rock music with performers like Buddy Guy and Joe Bonamassa. There’s a stop in the Bahamas, there’s on-board collabs between the artists, what more could a blues fan want? Autograph sessions?! Well, guess what dear reader, they’ve got that too!
Star Trek: The Cruise
While it’s currently sold out, we couldn’t help but cover this one. This cruise celebrates the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: Voyager and will feature some Star Trek legends, including William Shatner! The voyage lasts seven days and you get to interact with Star Trek stars (no pun intended, except maybe a little). There are also plenty of Star Trek-themed parties and activities on the ship, and the whole thing is planned to be totally immersive and interactive. If you’re a Star Trek fan, you definitely need to at least check this one out. It’s the first week of March and sails the Caribbean, but that’s the least exciting thing about it. It’s sold out, but you can hop on the waitlist here.
Beyond these three, there are many other awesome themed cruises out there that will get anyone excited. Norwegian has a plethora of music-themed cruises, as does Celebrity, but other cruise lines offer themes that extend beyond music (and Star Trek). Do a little research and you’re bound to find the perfect one for you!
