You don’t have to go very far to enjoy a seal cruise, especially if you live anywhere near the state of Maine! Atlantic Seal Cruises depart from South Freeport Maine’s Freeport Town Wharf. These narrated cruises sail Casco Bay, allowing guests to participate in the popular Seal and Osprey Watch. Guests will watch seals at play and observe nesting sites of osprey. Guests can also watch the captain as he engages in a lobster catch with his own trap.
Atlantic Seal Cruises depart daily from Memorial Day weekend through the end of October. Cruises depart at 6 p.m. and return at 8:30 p.m. If you decide to hop aboard during the month of October, no worries about bringing a jacket. Maine’s Indian summer will keep you nice and warm.

HOURS: 3 departures (9:30am, 1:30pm, 6pm) daily in season; 1 departure (9:30am) weekdays and 2 departures (9:30am, 1:30pm) on weekends off-season. Call for reservations.
RATES: $20 adults, $15 children under 12, children under 1 free.
DIRECTIONS: From the south, take the Maine Turnpike north to Exit 9 (Falmouth). Follow Rt 1 north for 7-8 miles. Turn right onto the South Freeport Road just before the “Big Indian” statue on your right. Drive about 2 miles until you reach a 4-way stop. Turn onto Main St in South Freeport. Look for the town wharf on your left. From LL Bean in Freeport, drive south on Main St (Rt 1) for about 1.3 miles, until you come to an intersection with a Citgo gas station. Bear left and continue on Rt 1 south. Turn left onto Pine St just after the Citgo station. Continue on Pine St until you reach a 4-way stop. Go straight through onto Main St. in South Freeport. Look for the town wharf on your left.

If you would like to make a day of it, try the Fall Foilage Cruise either in the morning from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or the afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cruises depart daily, including weekends.
