For visitors opting for cruise lines departing out of San Francisco, The popular Port of San Francisco offers numerous conveniences and attractions. The Port of San Francisco is located at the Embarcadero on the Bay side and it is served by San Francisco International Airport, which is only an hour’s drive away. The port is easily accessible via the 101 freeway or 280 North. Passengers can expect to pay around $12 to $14 per day for parking. Parking is in a covered garage with valet parking (cash only). The Port of San Francisco attractions draw 15 million visitors a year. The waterfront of home to Fisherman’s Wharf, Hyde Street Pier, PIER 39, and access to the 12-acre Alcatraz Island.
