Gary Vaynerchuk’s Thunder Cruise

Gary Vaynerchuck’s Thunder Cruise is a 7-day Caribbean Cruise that takes place aboard MSC Cruises luxurious 2,550-passenger Orchestra. While Gary Vaynerchuck’s Thunder Cruise features a wide range of events, the main focus of the cruise is wine. The cruise departs on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from Port Everglades, FT. Lauderdale, Florida, and makes stops in Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. John’s, Antigua; Nassau, Bahamas; and Cayo Levantado’s private island off the Dominican Republic coast.

Gary V’s Thunder Cruise spends several days at sea and several days in port. But the cruise calendar is chock full of events whether you’re sailing or stationary. Day one features a meet and greet celebration with complimentary champagne and photo ops, a welcome dinner, and a singles get together. Day two (at sea), features the very first wine event – the Thunder Cruise Wine Fest Grand Tasting. Gary and his wine industry friends will be in attendance at one of the largest wine tasting events at sea. And best of all, the event is included in the cruise price! Day two also features a formal dinner and Thunder Cruise Karaoke.

Day three will be spent on the private island of Cayo Levantado engaging in treasure hunts or relaxing on the beach. Back on the Orchestra, guests will enjoy yet another wine tasting event – the Informal Wine Get Together at the “most elegant wine bar at sea.” Other day three events include the Thunder Cruise Cigar & Port Night and the Thunder Cruise Deck Party where guests will listen to music, dance, play games, mingle, and more.

If you’re brand new to the world of wine, Gary Vaynerchuk’s Thunder Cruise has a special event for you. On day four, Gary’s guests may attend Thunder Cruise “Wine 101” with Gary to learn the basics or wine. A presentation takes place followed by a special Q&A session. Later in the day, guests will enjoy another informal wine get together, private dining at night and later in the evening a disco pajama party. Day five will be spent in St. Johns, Antigua. Events include the Thunder Cruise “Train Your Palate” Tasting, an informal wine get together at La Cantinella Wine Bar, private dining, and the Thunder Cruise Vayniac Trivia Game & Karaoke at MSC’s Shaker Lounge.

On day six, guests can expect a fabulous food and wine pairing event, an autograph session with Gary V, and the Thunder Cruise Formal “Wine Sampler” Farewell Dinner. In Nassau, Bahamas, on day seven, Gary V’s Thunder Cruise features a farewell cocktail party at MSC’s Covent Garden Theater (7:30 p.m.) and the Thunder Cruise Champagne Toast, which takes place at 10:30 p.m. In addition to making the final toast of the trip, Gary will also give a sneak preview of he next years cruise event.
