Anyone who is looking to travel the world, listen up: Holland America’s 2022 world cruise is now taking bookings. It’s been a bit of a whirlwind year for the cruise line, as it has been across the entire industry. They’ve had COVID-19 outbreaks, sailing suspensions, and have even had to sell some of their ships. But it seems they are ready to come out of the pandemic as strong as ever, and this amazing world cruise demonstrates that.
The world cruise, aptly titled the 128-Day Grand World Voyage, is the kind of trip that travelers dream of. It is indeed 128 days long, departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 3rd, 2022. and returning to Fort Lauderdale on May 12th, 2022. That means that you’ll be gone for over four months! It takes place on the Holland America Zaandam, a ship that lets guests pick between inside rooms, ocean view rooms, Vista suites, and Neptune suites. You’ll cruise in comfort as you sail from continent to continent, visiting some of the coolest locations on the planet. In total, you’ll call at 50 ports across 27 countries.
There are almost too many to pick from when it comes to this cruise. You’ll head west across the world, passing by French Guiana before crossing the Amazon River. The second week of the trip will have you exploring different parts of Brazil over the course of several days. By day 35, you’ll be in Hawaii, followed by a healthy amount of time in Japan. Another highlight will be the time you get to spend in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, two locations that are slightly off the beaten path for many travelers. You can look at the full itinerary on their website.
