Three Awesome South American Itineraries in 2022

South American cruises are highly underrated. And with the 2022 cruise season getting closer and closer, why not check some cool itineraries out? South America has a ton to offer to cruise travelers, and there’s a wealth of great ports and beaches to visit. Here are three itineraries that we have picked out that span a wide variety of affordability levels and themes. You’re bound to find one that suits you!

Argentina and Patagonia Holiday from Celebrity Cruises

Let’s start with a truly exciting one. Patagonia is at the top of many traveler’s bucket lists (including ours), and this is one itinerary that will take you directly there. The South American region is known for its beautiful national parks and towering, technically-challenging mountains. Those two factors make for some pretty amazing scenic cruising. This cruise lasts for 12 nights and departs on December 21st, 2022. It would make a perfect Christmas gift for that person in your life that has it all! …Or maybe just a gift for yourself. We all need to treat ourselves every now and again, after all. Booking for this cruise starts at $2023 thanks to a current 20% off sale. Check here for more details.

17-Day Andes and South America from Princess

If you’re in the market for something slightly more affordable than the previous itinerary, this may be the one for you. At $1298, it’s still a bit pricy, but the cost can be brought down by convincing some more friends to join you. Guests three and four get their tickets for only $999. Friends make everything better! This one also takes place during the holiday season, departing on December 2nd, 2022. It will take you from Los Angeles across Peru and Chile, stopping in locations like Lima and La Serena. This is a great price for such an involved trip! You can find all the relevant info right here.

South America: Argentina and Uruguay to Rio Janeiro from Norwegian Cruise Line

Here’s one itinerary that will let you visit three South American countries for a steal of a price. At only $559, this cruise is definitely affordable! It sails in March of 2022 and visits Buenos Aires in Argentina and Punta del Este in Uruguay before heading to three ports in Brazil. This one is much shorter than the previous itineraries in this list, only lasting six days. Still, it’s an excellent introduction to South America and an amazing deal for the budget-conscious cruiser. Norwegian’s website has all the info you need.
