Residential Cruise Line is not just a cruise line, it is also the creator of a luxury residential ocean liner complex that houses some of the most elegant and luxurious private residences that you can find on land or at sea. This type of ocean liner is also specifically designed for extended cruises or vacations to global destinations. Residential Cruise Line’s luxury liner is called Magellan. Designed by the Norwegian firm of Petter Yran and Bjorn Storbraaten Architects A.S., Magellan is roughly 860 feet long and 106 feet wide. It houses 210 private residences, including 16 penthouses.

There are more than a dozen floor plans offered on this residential liner with plan names like Madrid, Cannes, Sevilla, Amalfi, Monte Carlo, Palma, and Sorrento. Each luxury home has Pioneer Elite audio-visual systems, satellite Internet access, a phone and TV, top-of-the-line Whirlpool Architect stainless steel kitchen appliances, Jacuzzi’s, spacious walk-in closets, picture windows and outside terrace, and a complete collection of furnishings, artwork, china, and linens. Each bedroom, no matter what floor plan you choose, has its own bathroom. Magellan’s three and four bedroom units and penthouses also include a powder room. Homes can be personalized by choosing from three different color design packages.

Magellan has roughly a dozen elaborate decks, each with it’s own amenities, equipment, recreation, entertainment, etc. For example, deck 14 features a putting green, a sports bar, an observatory, a tennis court, a disco, a racquetball court, and a greenhouse while deck four holds fully equipped Bertram fishing boats, Jet-skis, speedboats, and dock-side dining is featured. On deck five you’ll find four 4-star restaurants, a casino, two bars, a night club, a billiard lounge, five boardrooms and conference facilities, a grand foyer, and more. Decks six thru 11 house all of Magellan’s luxury homes.

Magellan has a multinational crew of 500, a maximum speed of 24 knots, and she is registered in the Bahamas. Magellan’s destinations change yearly, but residents can expect to visit places such as Portugal, Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Tunisia, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, the Falkland Islands, Panama, Colombia, the Netherlands, Venezuela, Trinidad, Grenada, St. Lucia, Martinique, Dominica, and Guadeloupe.

There are several ways to enjoy everything a Magellan residence and cruise has to offer. You can “Full Ownership� and “Fractional Ownership.� Full Ownership means you will purchase your home as if you were purchasing a home on land. Depending on the floor plan, deck, and number of bedrooms, prices may range from $3.7 million up to $16 million or more. Assessments range from $78,000 annually up to $542,000 annually. There are two types of fractional ownership types: one month and two weeks. Prices for one month ownership ranges from $315,000 up to $700,00 depending on floor plan, deck, and number of bedrooms. Assessments range from $12,000 annually up to $20,000 annually. Two week fractional ownership prices range from $100,000 up to $350,000. Assessments range from $3,250 up to $15,000 annually.

Residential Cruise Lines also offers Platinum Ownership exclusively for decks 10 and 11. This type of ownership has its perks. Residents with Platinum Ownership may take advantage of priority reservations (spa, theater, shore excursions, etc.), priority transportation, security card access, concierge services, butler service, personal shoppers, private chefs, private day care, and companion programs.
