Oceania Cruises has just announced their 2024 world cruise. You won’t want to miss this one. It’s a perfect opportunity for the hopeful world traveler to see a bunch of new countries as part of one massive itinerary. And there’s also good news for those who don’t have the chance to take such a committing adventure. Oceania is also rolling out four new “grand voyage” cruises, each of which lasts for a few months but is not quite as long (and costly) as the world cruise.
The itinerary of the world cruise is pretty hard to pass up, though. It begins in Los Angeles, California on January 14th, 2024 and quite literally sails across the planet before ending up in New York, New York on July 12th. While there will be many days to relax at sea on this cruise, the sheer number of amazing stops is pretty wild. You’ll visit Hawaii, New Zealand, Indonesia, Japan, China, the UAE, Egypt, Spain, Iceland, Greenland, and many more amazing countries before the cruise is complete. UNESCO World Heritage Sites, National Parks, and other unbelievable sites are all part of the package.
To help get at the core of this itinerary, let’s break it down into numbers. It lasts for a total of 180 days, and 96 different locations are visited. A total of 100 UNESCO World Heritage Sites are also available to be seen on the cruise, and there are a planned 78 free shore excursions. There will also be 24 overnights in different places around the world; the other nights will be spent on the ship itself.
As for the price, it’s about what you might expect. In other words, this isn’t the most affordable cruise around. Cabins start at $43,199 per person, but fancier lodging will bring the price up quite a bit. As an example, the most expensive cabin (the owner’s suite) starts at $168,699 for just the cruise. Of course, when you’re paying this much for a cruise, you’re gonna get a few extras. Guests can choose between free excursions, plenty of ship credit, or a beverage package. Additionally, shelling out a bit more for the Exclusive Prestige Package unlocks a huge number of amenities such as free airfare, wi-fi, laundry, and more.
Reservations for this cruise open up on March 2nd, so you should start to make some plans if you are interested in going. Oceania Cruises’ website has all the details on this itinerary that you might need, including the different pricing packages.
